PANGANDARAN - The medical team from the National Center for Mental Health (PKJN) Marzoeki Mahdi Hospital successfully brought 31 people with mental disorders (ODGJ) from Pangandaran to be treated in Bogor, after conducting a health check at the Pangandaran Village Hall, Pangandaran, West Java, Wednesday (21/8/2024).
This examination and evacuation activity was carried out in collaboration with PKJN Marzoeki Mahdi Hospital and the Pangandaran Regency Government. Acting Secretary of the Pangandaran Health Service, Srie Heryani Nurjamil, in her speech hoped that Pangandaran residents who are experiencing mental disorders will recover after being given care, treatment, and rehabilitation at PKJN Marzoeki Mahdi Hospital.
"We entrust our brothers from Pangandaran Regency who need care at Marzoeki Mahdi Hospital to be treated," said Srie, while closing her speech.
Health Counselor of the Hospital Health Promotion Installation (PKRS), Iyep Yudiana, expressed his pride in having collaborated with the Pangandaran Regency Government, so that activities like this are routinely carried out.
"Representing the PKJN of Marzoeki Mahdi Hospital, I am proud to be able to continue to collaborate with the Pangandaran Regency Government in providing mental health services to the community in Pangandaran," said Iyep.
The medical team on duty from the PKJN of Marzoeki Mahdi Hospital consists of psychiatrists, general practitioners, nurses, health promoters, social workers, etc. They managed to examine 33 ODGJ from 15 health centers and social institutions from 10 sub-districts in Pangandaran. As many as 31 of them were taken to the PKJN of Marzoeki Mahdi Hospital, while 2 ODGJ were deemed not to meet the criteria to be taken to Bogor.
The success of this activity was created through the cooperation of PKJN RS Marzoeki Mahdi with the Pangandaran Regency Government through the Regional Secretariat, Health Office, Social Service, Health Center, Satpol PP, Himatera Social Institution, etc. (IY)
