BOGOR – In celebration of the 96th Mother's Day, the National Mental Health Center (PKJN) RS Marzoeki Mahdi, through its Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP), inaugurated Daycare Bahagia on Monday (23/12/2024). This facility is designed to provide childcare services for the children of hospital staff.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Chairperson of the DWP Directorate General of Health Services, the Chairperson of DWP RS Marzoeki Mahdi, the Chairperson of DWP RS Paru Goenawan Partowidigdo, Posyandu cadres, as well as the hospital's directors, management, and staff.
In her speech, the Chairperson of DWP RS Marzoeki Mahdi, Marleni Desnita, stated that Daycare Bahagia serves as a contribution and commitment of DWP to support staff, particularly working mothers, in balancing career and family needs.
“Daycare Bahagia adopts a holistic approach focusing on children’s emotional, sensory-motor, and social development. To ensure safety, the daycare is equipped with CCTV facilities that parents can access directly through their devices. We hope this facility will allow female employees to stay close to their children, enabling them to work more productively, comfortably, and securely,” she said.
The Chairperson of the DWP Directorate General of Health Services, Sri Hartanti Azhar Jaya, appreciated the initiative. She remarked that programs like Daycare Bahagia greatly assist employees, especially in overcoming challenges related to childcare.
“Women often face dilemmas between their roles as mothers and professionals. With this facility, those challenges can be resolved, allowing employees to focus better on their work,” she said.
Meanwhile, the Director of PKJN RS Marzoeki Mahdi, Nova Riyanti Yusuf, emphasized the importance of this facility in improving staff well-being.
“May Daycare Bahagia serve as a concrete step in supporting the well-being of our staff, whether they are mothers or fathers, including single parents. Let us work together to enhance productivity and comfort at work while welcoming the Golden Generation of 2045,” she said.
