BOGOR – The Mayor of Bogor, Dedie A. Rachim, conducted a working visit and led a coordination meeting as well as a development review at RS Marzoeki Mahdi. The meeting took place at the Papandayan Room on Monday (23/2/2026), followed by a site visit to the gene bank construction area and the RSMM Heritage Golf Field.

President Director of RS Marzoeki Mahdi, Dr. dr. Nova Riyanti Yusuf, Sp.KJ, stated that the development of the gene bank, training center building, dormitory, and the strengthening of its role as a teaching hospital are part of the hospital’s masterplan realization. The gene bank development itself is a program initiated by BB Binomika and is being implemented within the RS Marzoeki Mahdi complex.

“We want to ensure that this development makes a tangible contribution to the City of Bogor. This transformation not only strengthens mental health services as a national flagship, but also introduces research and educational facilities that support scientific advancement,” she said.

The Mayor expressed his appreciation for the project and emphasized that facilities such as the gene bank are aligned with Bogor’s long-term development direction.

“We welcome the construction of the gene bank and other supporting facilities. This is part of Bogor’s growth toward becoming a green city, heritage city, and smart city. Our 2045 vision is to make Bogor a creative, advanced, and sustainable science city. This development must be part of that broader direction,” he stated.

Considering that RS Marzoeki Mahdi has a golf course and a football field, the Mayor instructed that open green spaces should be preserved. “This area should remain a green open space. It can later be utilized as a jogging track for students, employees, and the community,” he added.

In closing, the Mayor expressed hope that the entire development process would proceed smoothly and successfully. “We are proud that Bogor is home to the National Mental Health Center, and soon a gene bank. Hopefully, this will become a source of pride for all of us,” he concluded.

Through this engagement, the Bogor City Government, RS Marzoeki Mahdi, and BB Binomika agreed to ensure that the construction process is carried out with proper governance and optimal impact control. All parties are committed to ensuring that the development does not disrupt the comfort, security, and safety of patients, patients’ families, hospital staff, or the residents of Bogor, particularly those living around Jalan Dr. Sumeru.
