BOGOR - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno visited the National Center for Mental Health (PKJN) of Marzoeki Mahdi Hospital while attending the MiCE to Meet You talk show: Dialogue Road to the 2025 Community Children's Music Work Festival, at the Heritage Golf Field, Bogor, Sunday (22/9/2024). This talk show activity aims to share insights and discuss several things related to the current conditions and challenges of the music community, downstream efforts and distribution processes of works, and to create opportunities for collaboration with health facilities in the future which will also be a means for the music community to have a sustainable forum through the Community Children's Music Work Festival event.
The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy also strongly supports the PKJN of Marzoeki Mahdi Hospital with all its facilities such as the Heritage Golf Field which can be a gathering place for sports tourism, the Youth Mental Health Center, and the implementation of creative economy programs including music, painting, and wellness.
"And you have to play a lot of golf here because you don't know there is a golf course here. This is a golf course from the Dutch era, yes, it is heritage, we must support it, because it is part of the City of Bogor," said Sandi.
In his speech, the President Director of PKJN RS Marzoeki Mahdi Nova Riyanti Yusuf said that the hospital had just conducted a soft launch of the Youth Mental Health Center (YMHC) program as an effort to provide comprehensive and holistic support for adolescent health.
"YMHC's flagship programs are counseling, therapy, and support groups, mental health education including life-skill training, music therapy such as angklung, sports therapy, holistic services such as sound healing exploration, meditation, yoga, bullying prevention and suicide prevention," he said.
YMHC PKJN RSMM is committed to collaborating with various stakeholders to create a healthy physical and mental atmosphere so that adolescents can innovate, think critically, and take advantage of existing opportunities including the tourism and creative economy sectors. Currently, we are also collaborating with Inorga, the Indonesian Airsoftgun Federation to make this sport an effort for Physical and Mental health, especially building a stronger young generation's mentality. Considering that PKJN RSMM as the National Coordinator of the Care of 269 hospitals in the mental health care network, PKJN RSMM must fight for employment and Job Clubs for our patients whose conditions are stable.
The event was also attended by the Head of the Bogor City Tourism and Culture Office, Representatives from the Federation of Indonesian Musicians Unions (FESMI), representatives from UniSadhuguna International College (UIC) and community children's music activists.
PKJN RSMM has an area of 57 hectares. The Heritage Golf Field has been established since the Dutch era consisting of 9 holes with the remains of a Japanese bunker on Hole 4. In addition to the golf course, RSMM also has an indoor badminton court, 2 volleyball courts, an international standard soccer field, 2 volleyball courts, a basketball court, and a tennis court that is currently being revitalized.
