BOGOR - The health education team from the Hospital Health Promotion Installation (PKRS) of the National Center for Mental Health (PKJN) Marzoeki Mahdi Hospital provided health education to visitors who were seeking outpatient treatment at the Integrated Psychiatric Polyclinic Building, Monday (22/7/2024). Visitors who receive education consist of patients, families, cadres, companions, etc., who come from various regions, such as Bogor City, Bogor Regency, Cianjur, Sukabumi, Depok, Subang, etc.
The public health instructor who is also the outreach coordinator in the hospital, Sugih Setiaraharja, appeared as the first resource person to open the event and provide information about disaster management, especially the use of light fire extinguishers (Apar).
The medical social worker, namely Lilin Darmiyanti, as the next resource person, appeared and then explained the service flow for patients seeking outpatient treatment at the polyclinic or inpatient treatment at the RSMM emergency installation.
Iyep Yudiana, as a Public Health Instructor, added 5 tips on how to recover mental patients at home.
"5 tips for a patient's recovery at home to be successful, namely taking medication regularly, regular control, family being a companion in taking medication, support from the environment and resocialization back into society," he said while closing the counseling session.
Polyclinic visitors appreciated the educational activities carried out by the PKRS installation. "It would be better if this counseling were held every day, so that we don't get bored waiting in line, so that we can get knowledge and also get services," said one visitor from Depok City.
