BOGOR – The National Center for Mental Health (PKJN) Marzoeki Mahdi Hospital held an education for prospective brides and grooms (catin) in West Bogor District, Bogor City, with the theme of preventing stunting and maintaining mental health. This program was held at the West Bogor Religious Affairs Office (KUA), Bogor City, Tuesday (12/11/2024), and was attended by 16 catin from various regions.
Nutritionist at Marzoeki Mahdi Hospital, Chaerul Amalia, conveyed the importance of fulfilling nutrition for prospective brides and grooms, especially women who are about to get married. "Women who are going to get married must pay attention to their iron. The integrated health post provides blood-boosting substances to prepare the nutrition of the mother and the baby to be conceived. In addition, protein intake from vegetables, eggs, tofu, tempeh, and meat is also very important," said Chaerul.
In addition, Iyep Yudiana, a health instructor at PKJN Marzoeki Mahdi Hospital, provided seven tips for maintaining mental health for prospective brides and grooms before their wedding. "There are seven tips for maintaining mental health before marriage, namely: manage each partner's emotions, build good communication, develop problem-solving skills, learn from experience, motivate positive things, agree on sensitive issues, and create a language of affection," explained Iyep while providing education.
The activity was even more lively with the interactive game "Catch the Catin Couple," where the catins faced each other, listened to instructions, and grabbed their partner's hand as quickly as possible. "The education was very exciting, besides getting information about preventing stunting and tips for maintaining mental health, we were also given door prizes and exciting games," said one of the participants who managed to win the main prize.
