BOGOR - Together with the Pancasan Community Health Center and participants in the Padjadjaran University specialist medical education program (PPDS), the assertive community treatment (ACT) team of the National Mental Health Center Marzoeki Mahdi Hospital (PKJN RSMM) carried out home visits to the homes of families of people with mental disorders ( ODGJ) in Pasir Jaya, Bogor City, Monday (20/5/2024).
Marzoeki Mahdi Hospital's health promoter, Iyep Yudiana, said that this activity was a routine program carried out by Marzoeki Mahdi Hospital.
"This is routinely done to directly see the patient's real condition and see other problems in the family environment, as well as the potential of the environment to support the patient's recovery at home," he said.
After talking with the family, it was discovered that the ODGJ with the initials E who was visited had been treated at Marzoeki Mahdi Hospital until he recovered, and had even received productive work training several years ago.
At this activity, a psychologist from Marzoeki Mahdi Hospital, Anisa Rahmawati, was also present, who advised E's parents not to give additional medication beyond the dose prescribed by the doctor.
"You are not allowed to add medication outside of the provisions, let the doctor decide whether the medication should be added or replaced," said Anisa.
The Head of the Pancasan Community Health Center, Dessy Yuliarti, expressed his thanks to the ACT PKJN RSMM team, who had helped handle ODGJ in the Pancasan Community Health Center area.
"RSMM has long been synergizing with the Pancasan Community Health Center in handling ODGJ, and this must be maintained well," he said.
Officers from the Pancasan Community Health Center, RT heads, and health cadres who were also present at the visit were ready to follow up on the results of the visit, by bringing patient E to be treated again.
